Maggie Kean Misadventures Series
I am most excited to see the 'Watchman' trailer. Ok all you 'Twilight' fans out there here is your first liook at Entertainment Weeklys new cover featuring the 2 main characters from 'Twilight'. From what I gather, the book is about a dreamy Vampire and a regular human high school girl that fall in love with each other.
My wife has been reading the books recently and all I hear about is how sweet and amazing this vampire guy is. You know whats funny about all that though? Check out the EW cover! And below that is a picture of Kate Beckinsdale just for the hell of it. One thing we can all agree on is that vampires are pale. This is great news! After everything us fanboys and fangirls had to endure. There was so much talk from both ends on Iron man 2 we have heard some great things from marvel and Jon but we just wern't sure if they were going to team up for the sequel.
I mean back in our minds we new it would all work out in the end but until its official ya never know, it still has not been officially announced. So congratulations to Jon Favreau and Marvel for hitting it off once again and making all the fans of the first Iron Man incredibly happy! Now here is where I am going to Rant. I found this exclusive news on deadlinehollywooddaily. Robert Downey Jr had a sequel clause in his contract so he's on board. Marvel Studios boss David Maisel was quick to put out a "definitely" richer offer to Favreau, but not quick enough for Jon -- who used the Internet and other media to rile up the movie's many fans by spreading nonsense that Marvel was dragging its feet and then lowballing him.
Granted Maisel is no day at the beach himself, but, seriously, could Favreau have been more of an asshole?

I think so. Here is a person that does not know Jon or David Maisel and has no clue what the real story was behind everything that went down. Some studios tend to drag their feet especially if they had a lot going on with Hulk movie at the time, and Jon even recognized that. They then reach an agreement. Its called negotiations.
Maybe even more. The guy isn't going to burn his connections and ruin his relationship with Marvel! In fact had he done so, Marvel probably would have moved on without him! Hey Nikki! You'll keep your mouth shut if you know what s good for ya. See, now I'm the asshole! Iron Man 2 is rolling forward with Jon Favearu in the directing chair, so lets all rejoyce and celebrate this happy occasion. This is 'Max Payne'! This movie looks great! An action packed revenge extravaganza.
It looks like everything I hoped it would be a true adaptation of the video game. It looks like director John Moore knew what he was doing in making this film. I love, the style look, and feel. If you are a fan of the game I think you going to be happy with the outcome of this film.
It looks like it got everything we want to see in a 'Max Payne' film! Mark Wahlberg is the perfect actor for this role. Get ready for a freakin awesome movie! Check out the trailer below! Wow it actually happened! Robert Downey Jr. How about them apples! Here is what Variety Reports : Downey committed to the pic, which begins shooting in October, after Ritchie turned in a polish of a script written by Anthony Peckham. Much the way that "Iron Man" launched Downey as an action star, "Sherlock Holmes" will also take advantage of his physical skills as the character displays brawn as well as brains.
Well, the script must have been good for Robert to sign on the dotted line. This will be Robert's first acting gig since Iron Man. Not a bad choice. So far things are shaping up really nice for this movie. Guy Ritchie has got 'RocknRolla' opening up soon and it looks like its gonna be a great film hopefully his name picks back up some Buzz as a director. As for Robert being in the film that might just be Buzz enough to get the audience into the theaters.
Venkman Out! But not by me damn it! I wish I could get my hands on the 'Inglorious Bastards' script and read it! I just want to have you read what it is about and a few other details. The script is pages long and follows a squad of American soldiers called the Bastards - a guerrillalike force who travel behind German lines in , striking terror into the hearts of Nazi soldiers.
The Bastards are headed by Lieutenant Aldo Raine - the role we'd imagine Tarantino is hoping to land Brad Pitt for - described by the script as a "hillbilly from the mountains of Tennessee," who has around his neck a scar from where he survived a lynching. In a parallel story, Inglorious Bastards follows a French Jewish teenager named Shosanna who survives the massacre of her family and flees to Paris, where she winds up running a movie house during the Nazi occupation. The Bastards' and Shosanna's stories intersect when a gala premiere of a Goebbels-produced propaganda film is put on in Shosanna's theater, with Hitler and most of the German High Command scheduled to attend.
Both the Bastards and Shosanna launch plots intending to end the war a little earlier than anyone expected. It goes into a few more details on the chapters along with a couple lines of dialoge from the script. I really hope Brad Pitt takes this role. Make sure to read their article to if your interested. My name is Lt. Aldo Raine, and I'm putting together a special team. And I need me eight soldiers. Eight - Jewish - American - Soldiers.
Now y'all might have heard rumors about the armada happening soon. Well, we'll be leavin a little earlier. We're gonna be dropped into France, dressed as civilians. And once we're in enemy territory, as a bushwackin' guerilla army, we're gonna be doin one thing, and thing only, Killin Nazi's. The members of the Nationalist Socialist Party, have conquered Europe through murder, torture, intimidation, and terror. And that's exactly what we're gonna do to them. Now I don't know about y'all. But I sure as hell, didn't come down from the goddamn smoky mountains, cross five thousand miles of water, fight my way through half Sicily, and then jump out of a fuckin air-o-plane, to teach the Nazi's lessons in humanity.
Nazi ain't got no humanity. There the foot soldiers of a Jew hatin, mass murderin manic, and they need to be destroyed. That's why any and every son-of-a-bitch we find wearin a Nazi uniform, there gonna die. We will be cruel to the Germans, and through our cruelty, they will know who we are.
They will find the evidence of our cruelty, in the disemboweled, dismembered, and disfigured bodies of their brothers we leave behind us. And the German will not be able to help themselves from imagining the cruelty their brothers endured at our hands, and our boot heals, and the edge of our knives. And the Germans, will be sickened by us. And the Germans, will talk about us. And the Germans, will fear us.

And when the Germans close their eyes at night, and their subconscious tortures them for the evil they've done, it will be with thoughts of us, that it tortures them with. But I got a word of warning to all would be warriors. When you join my command, you take on debit. A debit you owe me, personally. Every man under my command, owes me, one hundred Nazi scalps. And I want my scalps. And all y'all will git me, one hundred Nazi scalps, taken from the heads of one hundred Nazi's or you will die trying.
I can't wait! This is pretty cool! It is interesting to think about what type of acting Quentin could pull out of Brad. And while there's been no official announcement, Pitt's name has surfaced for one of the leads. Per the Hollywood Reporter, Tarantino plans to do the bulk of the shooting in Europe and hopes to finish the war drama in time to submit to next May's Cannes Film Festival. That would seem to fit Pitt's schedule, having set up a homebase in France awaiting Angelina Jolie's birth. Well I guess it could work out if everyone involved wants it to.
I won't object to it, I think brad pitt is a great choice for a movie like this. This movie is already on my "I can't wait to see list". So there ya have it!

They lacked something. But this Here is a game that hit on everything we would love to see and do. But this trailer that is being shown exclusively at EW. It looks like it has a good story, amazing cg graphics, awesome game play, and lots of details. I can't wait to play this game of greatness. So click on the pic below and watch the trailer! Venkman here and you have got to go over to Apple. Back in the day Francis Ford Coppola's film 'Apocalypse Now' had a documentary made about it called 'Hearts of Darkness' which is also amzing and you should watch it if you haven't seen it!
Now from what I understand this is the trailer for a full length documentary that will most likely be released online sometime and put on the DVD. So click on the poster below and check out the trailer! I gotta say It was nice to see Warner Brothers Animation finally after all these years step outside the box and do something different for a change. Superman and Doomsday wasn't that good and the Justin league movie they made was just awful! The animation was ok but the story was all over the place and ridiculous. I understand his style is his animation signature but lets see something different for cryin out loud!
Lets explore some new territory! Batman: Gotham Knight is definitely new territory. I was surprised Bruce Timm was an executive producer on it. Looks like he finally put on a new pair of pants. Batman: Gotham Knight is six short animated films. Each film has a different story and animation style to it, each style was done by some of Japans most talented visionaries. The following is a list of each short film who worked on it and what its about: In "Have I Got a Story for You," Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Josh Olson "A History of Violence" tells the story of how chance encounters with Batman by a group of youngsters leave each kid with a very different impression of the Dark Knight.
This one was cool because I liked how each kid in the story had a different take on Batman, how he looked and fought crime. They saw him more as a creature instead of a man in a bat costume. This is the chapter that 5 minutes of was released online. This film showed that Gotham had barricaded part of Gotham City where they kept all the crazy criminals, and two cops ended up in the middle of a mob deal gone bad. The action in this one was pretty cool. In "Field Test," writer Jordan Goldberg showcases the incredible high-tech arsenal Batman commands and reveals that there are some things even Batman won't do in his pursuit of justice.
I liked the concept for this one and how Lucius Fox created a force field for the Batsuit that deflected bullets. Goyer, co-screenwriter of "Batman Begins. You got to see this crazy Killer Croc design that looked great, different from anything I had seen on him before. The action was very cool.
There is a point where Batman gets bit on the shoulder by Killer Croc real bad. So bad in fact that his shoulder was squirting out blood through the rest of the chapter! This also had some great action shots in it. Award-winning comics writer Brian Azzarello explores an early chapter of Bruce Wayne's training in "Working Through Pain," showing how a mysterious and exotic Indian woman named Cassandra introduced Batman to techniques that would help him to conquer the physical and spiritual consequences of what he does.
This chapter was interesting.
I loved the animation style and the Batman design in this one but it was more of a flash back story, while Batman is crawling through a sewer. The back story was ok, there was one action sequence in the back story that I liked but that was about it. Finally, in "Deadshot," four-time Emmy Award-winning writer Alan Burnett ties together threads from all the Batman Gotham Knight chapters, as Batman must thwart an unerring assassin whose love of guns and disregard for human life lets him cross lines that even a Dark Knight shies away from.
Out of all of the chapters this last one was my favorite.
The story, the animation everything was right on with this one. It has a great action sequence that takes place on top of a train. There is something to like from each of these short animated Batman films. This was a fun movie to watch. And incase you are wondering if it is ok for kids. It depends on what kind of movies you let them watch. This is a great contribution to the Batman legacy for us fanboys out there.
So buy it or rent, you won't be disappointed. I would like to see Warner Bros. Every animated movie they have put out has its own feel and style, they don't stick with just one. The original 'Batman: The Animated Series' is amazing and still holds strong today. Let that animation style stay with it. Venkman here to let you know that the new full movie trailer for the film 'Quarantine' was recently released!
As you may or may not know this is a remake of another foreign horror film except I think the trailer for the first movie made was much better. This one seems a bit more staged. It looks creepy and fun but it definitely does not feel real at all. There is going to be a guy walking around with a camera that will never turn off no matter, because the filmmaker Angela in the movie tells him to "Tape Everything! Do you here me? Tape everything! Click on the Pic to watch the trailer in HD over at Yahoo! So MGM is really going through with this huh? The original 'Red Dawn' is one hell of a ridiculous movie to begin with.
Sure its a classic bad 80's film but why remake a bad movie? I just don't get it. Well MGM went and got the remake a screenwriter and director. Carl Ellsworth will be writing the script he also wrote the film 'Red Eye' and Dan Bradley will be the remakes director. Who is Dan Bradley? Contrafilm's Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson will produce. So he is a second unit director huh? Thats cool. He has worked on some good movies. Now the poor guy gets to direct a remake of a bad cult classic.
We'll I guess he wanted it. It just confuses the hell out of me that people like him think re-making old cult classics is a great idea. Sorry, I just can't share his enthusiasm.
- DINNERS AND DISHES.
- The Adventures of Hannah and Pete?
- Just Jestyn?.
What do you think? Are you pumped that 'Red Dawn' is being remade? Venkman here with a great little horror movie trailer! I have not hered of this movie until today. It is called 'Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer' and it looks like it has the makings of a cult classic. The one thing thats its missing is Bruce Campbell as the lead, but this Trevor Matthews guy will have to do.
It calls for a younger actor anyway. The movie also has Robert Englund in it though so thats awesome! Movieweb gives us a little description of the film: No one would ever believe what happened the night Jack Brooks witnessed the brutal murder of his family. His life destroyed, all he has left is an unquenchable fury he's now fighting to control.
Now the local plumber, Jack continuously struggles with his memories as his life becomes a downward spiral until his girlfriend Eve convinces him to attend night classes. Little does he know that in that dank, tiresome classroom, his destiny awaits. Evil awakens as Jack unknowingly disturbs the grounds surrounding Professor Crowley 's dilapidated old home.
Lured by this ancient demonic power, Crowley discovers a monstrous black heart that quickly forces its way into him. Possessed by the heart now beating in his chest, the Professor starts a slow, gruesome, transformation One night, as Crowley bursts into a creature of legends, Jack finally discovers the true purpose of his rage as he attempts to save the lives of his classmates and learns that you can't run from your past Nights self proclaimed "best B movie ever" 'The Happening', unfortuately not as many people will see it.
This looks like a fun movie! The movie stars Jared Leto and Lindsay Lohan. Someone thought it would make a great movie about this guy, why I have no idea. I would have much rather put the money into making a decent movie about the life of John Lennon, now he is an interesting guy! If you haven't been able to feel the vibe I am putting out on this movie, it's a negative one.
I thought it would be at least a little interesting, but no, it was not interesting at all. The movie was bad, the script was bad, the acting was bad. Leto went and put on all the weight to play Mark Chapman and for what? The movie was terrible I am not sure why anyone wasted there time on making this utter nonsense. There is nothing interesting about Mark David Chapman in this film.
The movie moved at a snails pace. You know what is going to happen at the end so I hate to say it, but I found myself telling my wife in the middle of the movie that "I wish they would get to the part where he kills John already". Even when the part did come I just didn't care anymore because I never got into the movie. Had a movie been made on John Lennon and you come to know the man as the movie progresses and you start to become engulfed with his life.
When the part of John getting killed comes along, it should really hit you and effect you in some way. But this movie does nothing like that. You feel nothing for Mark Chapman and you feel nothing when John is killed. You would think there would at least be a little tension before everything goes down, but its not there. There is literally no emotion at all in this movie. The dialogue is as monotone as the movie itself. Yeah thats how Mark talked, but why did they make this movie again? Personally I don't think Jared Leto is a good actor he sure didn't prove himself in this one. Lindsay Lohan pretty played herself.
There was this repetitive close up shot throughout the film of Mark unfolding a cloth with revolver in it. It was ridiculous! The movie was directed by J. I've seen much better movies about pathetic loosers though. Who knows maybe the audience was supposed to not like 'Chapter 27'.
